The Emerald Bay Alumni is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide Camp Emerald Bay with volunteer, material, and financial support through the fellowship of current and former staff, campers, and friends of the camp.

Current Fundraising Project

Some of our fondest memories of camp are of the campfire circle and the campfires that we attended there. The brilliant embers, funny skits, catchy songs, and riveting stories have created wonderful, indelible memories.

Although the current staff continues the tradition of great campfires, the campfire circle is in desperate need of repair. The benches wobble, the fire rings are crumbling, and, most importantly, there is not nearly enough seating.

The new Emerald Bay Alumni Campfire Circle will be constructed in the same general area as the old one, but will be turned to face the bay. It will be significantly larger, able to accommodate 1,000 campers and staff.

The rebuilding effort is expected to cost at least $65,000. This is the most substantial financial commitment the EBA has ever taken on, but we know that together we can make it happen. It’s important that everyone contribute, no matter the size of the donation. We have worked with camp management to provide special recognition for major contributors to this fundraising campaign.

Together, we can make the new Emerald Bay Alumni Campfire Circle a reality and enrich the lives of many generations to come! Please go to our separate project website at www.campfirecircle.org to find out how you can help.

Please Join Us For The 2008 Alumni Renunion!

August 16th & 17th, 2008

Join us once again for a fantastic weekend getaway at Emerald Bay. For the bargain price of $100 (or less!), you'll get transportation to and from camp, meals (including a special dinner), the alumni campfire & cracker barrel, Sunday-morning triathlon, and of course the ever-popular memorabilia auction. Please note that despite skyrocketing fuel prices, we have not raised the prices for this year's event!

New! Transportation for the weekend will be aboard the beautiful, fast, and comfortable Catalina Adventure. The Catalina Adventure will take us directly to Emerald Bay, and will take only one hour and ten minutes!

We are now accepting credit card payments via Google Checkout. It's faster and easier than Paypal, and does not charge any processing fees--saving us about 3%, which is money that can be used to support camp. Just add the items you want in your shopping cart, and then click the "Google Checkout" button.

"Moonlit nights and crystal waters,
Campfires bright and gay,
Fellowship and Comrades Lasting
Here at Emerald Bay.

Send the chorus booming seaward
O'er the ocean spray,
Hail the Gem of Catalina,
Hail to Emerald Bay."
